The cold will kill your batteries.
We planned on two days in Petrified Forest, but ended up only having 3 hours to explore before the sun set. We experienced our first major vehicle issues with dead batteries, but didn't let it kill our joy. The petrified logs with incredible colors are everywhere you look.
